Humans go to Planet X. The people there trick humans into sending them Godzilla and Rodan to fight Ghidorah. Planet X actually controls them and has them attack humans. Humans use sound to defeat Planet X as well as a device to jam the brainwave control that the aliens have on the monsters. After aliens blow up, Godzilla and Rodan team up to fight Ghidorah. Ghidorah flies away again the other two are not seen. Not sure how to score that one.

This was a bit far fetched even for Godzilla movies. The whole space thing is really unbelievable knowing anything about space. But whatever, if you just submit to the fiction of it, it was bearable. The one part of this film that I thought was significant was that the humans actually were the ones that fought back in this one. In a very typical alien invasion type movie resolution, the humans used some sort of weakness the aliens had to defeat them. First clear point for the humans. The ending left a bit to be desired, since it just kind of seemed a cheap resolution to get rid of the monsters for the next movie. Oh yeah, and the "jumping shay scene". That was a bit... awkward.
