Robot inventors get their robot, Jet Jaguar, stolen by Seatopians. Jet Jaguar directs Megalon to Japan. Robot inventors gain back control of Jet Jaguar, and has him bring Godzilla to fight Megalon. Seatopians summon Gigan to help. Godzilla and Jet Jaguar fight Megalon and Gigan, defeat them, and they leave.

The previous movie, Godzilla vs. Gigan, was so good, and this movie just had to bring the whole series down in quality again. The back story was just put in for setting up the fight, and the whole Jet Jaguar thing was... really excessive and didn't really seem to be well thought out. Plus it just seems a bit suspicious how instantly Jet Jaguar and Godzilla became friends. They even shook hands. Really? ... Really? And of course Megalon isn't much of a monster at all. THe only monster who did any damage in that film was Gigan. There was a lot of old footage reused as well. Good thing I watched the MST3K version of this one. That relieved some of the pain.
