| The Internet Meme Compilation CD ------------------------------- Put together by Ben Douglas May 2005 Since I was a kid, I've had a strange fascination with finding all the cool new things on the internet. During Jr. High and High school I would take my laptop to school and show friends whatever I had found the previous night. Now I post links to all the interesting things I find each day in my blog. I even recently wrote a (half-assed) report about Internet Memes explaining the culture and etcetera. So this one day I came up with the idea to take all the music from the popular and famous Internet Memes and put them all onto one CD to distribute on the web. I'm not sure about the legality of it all, but I assume that since I found everything in free context on the internet (meaning it was all available to the public through some site), it would not be a crime to put them all together and distribute it all. Of course I'm not making any profit off of this either. I have also included links to each track's origin in a separate file. Anyhow, I hope someone enjoys this CD. - Ben - monkZ |
