Trans-Reality Dream Syndrome - 10/25/03

In this world of over 6 trillian people there is a common disease in about 1 thousands of the population named TRDS, Trans-Reality Dream Syndrome. From their experiences, they report that they will randomly pass out at random and completely forget themselves. In this time, they have very undetailed dreams where they become a certain person and their senses are only limited to sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. They report, from what they remember of this TRDS, that they completely forget everything about reality when they go into the dream, and learn about a whole world and when their person in the dream "dies" they go back to reality.

This disease does not seem contagious or caught from person to person, but it seems that the growth in number of people that it infects is directly proportional to the growth in population in this reality. It is seemingly harmful, but sometimes the dream will contain severe dramatic elements that affect the real person after the dream.

Scientists have tried to come up with a theory for this phenomena. There have been cases where people have found to know each other's dream reality person in the dream, which leads some people to believe that it is actually a subliminal over world that special people can tap into. Theories range from space aliens to the population just being a mass organism. Some even say that the Trans-Reality Dream Syndrome is actually comparable to derivatives in math, meaning that somehow this alternate reality is comparable to the rate of change of this reality.

Several conventions happen each year for these .1% of the population with TRDS. Fan clubs, cults, special interest groups, and all kinds of research have been done on this subject, but in all cases not much has been found out about the relationship about the other world and ours.
