The GUD Guys - 04/06/05

In the future there will be such a thing as Breaker Relics. Ones and Zeros, held captive inside a hard disk in some storage desk hidden in what once was an Abandoned Building but now is a Temple of Forgottenness.

Rare Datum will be the futuristic term for datum that was once a hit on the net but then disappeared without much trace. An Electronic Fad. It already begins to exist, in the small memories of some. Some who have stored this info on CDs or Floppy Discs, hidden in some drawer of their college storage boxes, labeled "Space Dog episodes" or "Flash movies".

Breaker Relics should not be confused with Rare Data. Breaker Relics were designed with the purpose of becoming relics, and hidden in the Shadows of the World to be found by some Future Explorer. You see, currently there is a group of Genius Underworld Designers. The GUD Guys. They're mathematically insane, cryptically obsessed with cryptology, musically inclined with numbers, and creative beyond artistry. They exist in the current of shadows, Agoraphobic and Recluse, like many before them, and twiddle their numbers. With a Cynical Leader that provides them incentive.

He has The Plan. He knows of these Breaker Relics and what they will become.

There will be Mathematical Algorithms soon to be created by Los Altos, the future of top class culture. They will be implemented in Security Systems, in Market Places, in Government Organizations, in order to protect each from The Gruel, the future of the bottom class culture. It will become the Backbone of the Top Net. A calculated and precise set of bones holding up the foundations of all that makes Los Altos a seemingly perfect system.

The GUD Guys know. This is what will happen. The Cynical Leader with The Plan is like a scientist who will never see the results of his experiment. You see, the Breaker Relics will be dug up one day. One Day, the Future Explorer will find a set of Ones and Zeros and understand the Backbone of the Top Net. But the Future Explorer will also find part of a code that solves an Unknown Question.

Then Los Altos will fall. And The Gruel will rise. And the cycle will repeat like always. But the Breaker Relics will not all be found for many years. It will only be several decades later that another will be found on Mars. And a few decades later, one found on Venus. Another society of Agoraphobic and Recluse people will be formed to Gather the Relics.

The GUD Guys have a Ballet of Math. A treasure spread throughout the system.
