YOSHISM

The Guidances

version 6.2

This is our way of thinking. It most certainly could be the wrong way of thinking, but to us it is right. But this does not mean that our minds should be closed to other beliefs, instead we should listen to others and change or add onto our own beliefs if others have good ideas or better ideas than our own. We cannot force each and every one of us to accept a unified belief because that is very difficult and most likely impossible. So instead our religion suggests "Guidances" in order for people to lead a happier, peacefull, and harmonious life. Our religion is open to everyone, yet only those who desire to join. If you do not like one or more "Guidances" then ignore them.

Zero
Do what you want to do.

One
Be at peace. Be at peace with yourself. Be at peace with your friends. Be at peace with the world.

Two
Do not prevent other people from being at peace.

Three
If Guidance One and Guidance Two cannot exist mutually, then carry out your actions in your own sense of justice. Each person's sense of justice is different, yet they all balance out to create this world.

Four
Have fun and enjoy every moment of life as much as you can.

Five
Help everyone you want to. If everyone helps people then the world gets friendlier. If you can help a person but don't want to, then that's fine.

Six
How do we know what is good and what is bad? Society plays out this education unto ourselves but how do we know if Society is right or wrong? Good and bad should be judged personally. One might say that individual feelings are based on an accumulation of Society's values, which is true, but previous personal experiences and wisdom affect personal feelings as well.

Seven
Life is a value based system of wants. For example, my want to make this religion is greater than my want to sleep. The choices we make out of free will are chosen with what we value more.

Eight
Free will does exist in a sense. All causal events leading up to each choice in our lives are part of our free will. Yoshism defines free will as choices made by you. You are made up of all these past experiences and values, therefore instead of being controlled by your values you are your values. You are you.

Nine
Death is something we have to face at some time or another; it is inevitable. We should accept it and we shouldn’t fear it, but avoid if possible because living is great when you live by the basic values of Yoshism. We should accept losses instead of dwell on them. We should continue to live our lives and learn from what they have given us as well as what they have taken.

Ten
Life is always worth living. Even in hard times there is a way to be happy and make the most out of things. Always take that way. Never leaving a chance to have fun behind. Live life. Be happy and try something new every day. If you can’t think of something new to do, then look for it. Sure you can’t do this everyday, we have other things to do in our lives. But even trying will make your day. And we should make every day we can because every day counts.

Eleven
We live in both heaven and hell. But there is never one or the other.

Twelve
Don’t have any regrets about the actions that you take. Don’t let a moment pass by where you could have done something and didn’t because you weren’t brave enough or smart enough or active enough. Excuses in the present will most likely seem foolish in the future.

Thirteen
Always be accepting of the truth; listen. Do not believe you are something other than what you really are. Do not be egotistic, do not be humble, but realize who you are and accept it. Do not be in denial because it’s an easy way out of the truth, do not be optimistic of things because you’d rather not think of what would happen if they failed. Always live life with truth.

Fourteen
Stop and admire beautiful things every now and then. If you do it too often you will miss out on other things, and if you don't do it enough then you will miss out on a lot.

Fifteen
Sex is good and should be safe and enjoyable for both people.

Sixteen
The 5 senses should not be shamed, they should not be glorified either. They should be enjoyed because they are real and they allow us to make the best of our lives.

Seventeen
Hunger is the best spice. Try to deal with it until you recieve a good meal, and you will surely enjoy it more. The worse something is in the present, the better the relief will be in the future.

Eighteen
Keep a calm mind. Stay peaceful at most times. When you are tempted to be angry remember Thirteen, yet it is alright to be angry because it lets off stress. You are sad or angry or mad or frustrated because something disappointed you or did not meet your expectations, but what is true is truth.

Nineteen
Respect others and their ways of living. Even if you disagree with them, or if you don’t want to listen to them, you should not criticize them for their choices. Instead, suggest (respectfully) ways of improvement, such as these Guidances.

Twenty
Lies are good or bad depending on the situation. If the lie is made to get an advantage over an opportunity, then most likely it will come back to haunt you. As long as you can deal with that then it is ok, but if you cannot deal with it then it would be wise not to tell the lie. Many problems have occured because of misscommunication in the past, lies being part of this misscommunication.

Twentyone
All paths of life are the same on a universal point of view (no point of view at all). But to an individual point of view that is different. Keep a universal point of view.

Twentytwo
Strive for your goals, even if they seem impossible. Don't let people persuade you to change unless you yourself want to.

Twentythree
Learn from the past. History repeats itself because this does not happen.
